Abstract

This study aimed at:

  • Evaluation and assessment of Minia group therapy training process.
  • Detection of outcome of the the training process especially the change that happens to trainees.
  • Comparison of Minia group therapy training program with the group therapy training program in Exeter, UK.

There were similar results from both models of psychotherapy training in UK and in Minia, as both:
1. Increased clients’ awareness of their reactions and feelings.
2. Improved the ability to think psychologically.
3. Increased trainees’ self awareness.
4. Emphasis on basic psychotherapeutic skills ( listening, patience and empathy)
5. Increased interest and confidence in psychotherapy.
